Expert Lecture on “High Temperature Coating Technologies” Organized at MGIT

The Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), in collaboration with the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME), organized an expert lecture by Dr. L. Rama Krishna, Associate Director, ARCI, Hyderabad, on the topic “High Temperature Coating Technologies.”
The session was held on 12-11-2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at E-101 as part of the IIPC activities.

The event witnessed active participation from both students and faculty members of the institute.

Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy, Principal, addressed the gathering and motivated students to explore cutting-edge technologies and build opportunities in the field of Materials Engineering.

Dr. K. Ramanajaneyulu, HoD, MME, highlighted the importance and growing relevance of high-temperature coating technologies for MME students in modern engineering applications.

During the session, Dr. L. Rama Krishna explained that high-temperature coatings play a crucial role in protecting materials operating under extreme temperatures, moisture, and corrosion. He discussed products such as Forrest Infernex and Stove Bright, which are specifically designed to meet industry requirements.
He further elaborated on how the high-temperature coatings market is expanding across sectors like aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and equipment protection, contributing significantly to material durability and performance.

The lecture was briefly summarized by Dr. M. Vijaya Lakshmi, Member, IIPC, MME Department.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar, Convenor, IIPC.
